What will be shared

The following personal information collected may be shared, as required by Australian Government bodies[1]:

Staff Resourcing and Qualifications[2]

Staff Qualifications

Every instructor has a Commercial Helicopter Pilot Licence.  All flight instructors must have an instructor rating.  For a flight instructor to instruct in advanced flight techniques, they must also have the relevant endorsements, ratings and approvals.

Currency and Recency

Furthermore, all pilots and instructors must meet the recency requirements, which means for many endorsements, ratings and approvals they must carry out recency checks and renewals.

All flight training operations are subject to the Becker Helicopters Operations Manual, which is audited by CASA, and is the basis for giving Becker Helicopters approval to conduct flight training.

Staff Resourcing

Every pilot (flight instructor) is subject to limits on the hours they can fly based on either their flight and duty times, or their fatigue rating.

Training Products[3]

All training products offered by Becker Helicopters are current and either:

  • listed on its scope of registration as an AQF qualification; or
  • a Part 61 course under our CASA Part 141 and/or Part 142 aprpoval.

No student will be allowed to commence training on superseded or deleted training products or skill sets.

If the relevant government authority makes changes to these training products or skill sets then we will either transfer learners to a suitable qualification or ensure that the training and assessment and issuance of certification is complete within the required timeframe, depending on what is most practical for each student.

Superseded Training Products

If the relevant government authority has superseded the training product you are currently enrolled in then Becker Helicopters will ensure you either:

  • Complete your training and assessments and gain certification within one year, or
  • Transfer you into the training product replacement.

For students transitioning to a new qualification, a transition plan will be prepared, outlining the changeover requirements and advising of any amended pricing.

Removed / Deleted Training Products

If the relevant government authority has removed or deleted the training product you are currently enrolled in then Becker Helicopters will ensure you complete your training and assessments and gain certification within two years.

Skill Sets / Units of Competency

If the relevant government authority has removed or deleted the skill set or unit of competency you are currently enrolled in then Becker Helicopters will ensure you complete your training and assessments and gain certification within one year.
