I’m so blessed to have this little princess in my life, she is the most adorable little girl with a contagious laugh that can make your heart sing with just that amazing smile 🙂

Haylea is just 2 years old and was diagnosed with Hepatoblastoma on the 8th of January, she has a 10cm tumor on her liver and also many small spots on both of her lungs.

Haylea is currently undergoing treatment in preparation to remove the tumor from her liver, This means that her mum and herself are permanently based in Brisbane while dad is constantly travelling back and forth from the sunshine coast with her two older brothers to be by their side.

We would like to use this page not only as a tool share Haylea’s story but also to raise much needed awareness of Hepatoblastoma,

UPDATE 19th of April

Haylea Completed 2 full rounds of Chemo consisting of 3 cycles of Cisplatin and Doxorubicin over each week, with a weeks break in between, We had been expecting Haylea to have 3 rounds of Chemo before resection but after the 2nd round the doctors decided to redo Haylea’s MRI as the Chemo was making her very unwell.
Results showed no VISIBLE spots on her lungs and the tumor had shrunk to a more favourable size for resection.
At diagnosis Haylea’s AFP (Alpha-fetoprotein) level was 193,000 than pre op it was down to 457.

Haylea had her liver resected on the 5th of April just 1 day before her 3rd birthday, what a gift.
They ended up taking 4 lobes of the liver, so the complete right side and also her gallbladder.
She handled the operation well and was up walking around just 72 hours later.
She is just one very amazing little fighter and inspires everyone around her to no end 🙂

Now we are patiently awaiting the results from the tumour itself before we know what’s to come next as far as chemo goes.

But right now Haylea is doing GREAT she is handling the pain well and enjoying life with her family and especially craft times 🙂

Thankyou to each and every one of you for your support and well wishes and many prayers along the way Xx

Haylea has been recieving some great art work from the children of our lovely followers and is getting quite a collection, if you would like to send a card to Haylea you can do so at.
